Big Batch Tequila Cocktail Recipe #1 – Paloma

The Paloma is incredibly popular and a staple drink in Mexican culture (you might say it’s the “margarita of Mexico”). While it is still a lesser known drink in the US, it is enjoying an increasing trend in popularity. We feel that tequila aficionados, particularly those with discerning taste and a passion for enjoying high quality experiences, would not only savor this tremendous cocktail, but happily become paloma ambassadors by serving this amazing tequila cocktail to their tribe.

A paloma features grapefruit as the star, alongside a delicious organic tequila like our reposado tequila (the traditional recipe) or clean and clear Blanco tequila – the tequila you choose is simply a matter of your preference.

To batch this beverage, simply combine equal parts Tequila and grapefruit juice in a large serving container. Depending on how much you are making, you will want to add sliced limes and lime juice, agave, and salt. Finally, serve into an ice-filled glass, top with seltzer, and enjoy!

Paloma Ingredients:

• 3 cups Aldez Blanco tequila
• 3 cups grapefruit juice (traditional Palomas feature grapefruit soda, so if you want to use grapefruit soda instead, simply use 3 cups and then replace the seltzer with regular water)
• 1 cup lime juice
• 1 lime, sliced into rounds
• ½ tsp salt
• Agave syrup (to taste)
• Seltzer (to top off each drink)

Directions:

• Add the Blanco, grapefruit juice, lime juice and the lime itself to a large serving container or pitcher.
• Add sliced limes and agave to taste.
• Serve into ice-filled glasses and top with seltzer (or water if you used grapefruit soda).

Big Batch Tequila Cocktail Recipe #2 – Tequila Sangria

Sangria is truly the reigning champion of all batched cocktail offerings. Of course the traditional base for a sangria recipe is red or white wine – but this recipe proves that sangria can be even greater when you replace grapes with agave. This recipe celebrates tequila, and packs your party punch with the vibrant flavor and unique culture of our beloved friends to the south of the border.

Tequila Sangria Ingredients:

• 2 cups of Tequila, based on your preference of traditional wine sangria…
  • If you prefer red wine, go with Aldez Reposado Tequila
  • If you prefer white, go with Aldez Blanco Tequila
• 2 bottles Riesling wine
• 1 cup Dry Vermouth
• 1 cup pineapple juice
• 2 limes, sliced into rounds
• Assorted fruit – we suggest diced apples & oranges
• Seltzer (optional)

Directions:

• Add all but seltzer to a large serving container or pitcher.
• Serve into ice-filled glasses and top with seltzer.

Big Batch Tequila Cocktail Recipe #3 – Tequila Sour

When creating a batched cocktail, it can be best to keep things simple. One of the benefits of using top-quality organic tequila is that the purity of its incredibly smooth flavor shines through beautifully in simple combinations. That’s why we love this tequila sour recipe. It’s both sweet and tart, and always refreshing. You can even add some fresh mint for an extra touch of a summer flavor.

And remember – you can adjust the amount of tequila to suit the situation. For example, during a brunch or lunch, it may be appropriate to use a conservative blend, but you might choose to let the liquor flow a bit more freely if you’re planning an evening soiree.

Ingredients:

• 4 cups Aldez Blanco tequila
  1 cup lime juice
  1 cup lemon juice
  1 cup agave syrup (1:1 agave nectar)
  1 lime, sliced into rounds
  1 lemon, sliced into rounds
  Fresh mint leaves (to garnish)

Directions:

• Add all ingredients to a large serving container or pitcher.
• Serve into ice-filled glasses.
